The Expendables

The Expendables was my first foray back into dungeon mastering since high school. I used a mish-mash of rulesets, so the plans listed below may be a little confusing. Despite those inconsistencies, the session itself was a blast. Who doesn't love magic carpet racing, haystack fairies, pub trivia, and a conversation with a recalcitrant horse (not in plans, but in the play).

There was a follow-on session and I had planned to set up a whole campaign, but it kind of fizzled out as I discovered Savage Worlds and found it to be more in line with my way of role-playing (less work, less dogma and D&D baggage, more straight-up roleplaying). As a result, this is more of a one-off that got my creative juices flowing.
